Overview

Spouse friendly compact sub

E15 is our answer to the need for more output in a compact size. It is based on F15HP so it has more output than our standard subs, yet we have carefully reduced the size to minimize the visual impression of size without substantial sonic compromise. We've reduced the width by 2'' and the depth by 1'' while the height remains the same. So E15 can be considered the smaller spouse-friendly version of F15HP.

There are other small but powerful subs on the market, but what E15 achieve is a smart mix of brute force, small size and finesse. Now the articulate and dynamic bass that our other subs have become known for is available with greater punch and smaller size.

Direct Servo Technology

All our subwoofers use our patented Direct Servo technology, providing high end performance at an affordable price. It allows us to use lighter and more efficient drivers and still achieve deep bass without using excessive amounts of power. The servo reduces memory effects, counteracts thermal compression and various forms of driver non linearities.

H600XLR3 Amplifier and DS1510 Driver

E15 now uses our high power H600XLR3 servo amplifier and DS1510 driver. DS1510 features anodized aluminum cone, a 3'' voice coil, and 200 oz magnet. Its linear excursion range has increased to +/- 20mm (from +/-15mm of DS1500). The entire subwoofer is 12lbs heavier than DS1501.

E15HP2 is the same as E15 except with the HX1000XLR3 amplifier to offer 1.5db more output. This model is only available with new order, not as an upgrade option. Order links are at the bottom of the page.

The feet are sold separately. Black cones are made of anodized aluminum. Price includes shipping to 48 US continental states only. Shipping to other region or country should inquire us for actual cost. Due to tariff increase, we have reduced the multi-sub discount to 5%.

Our speaker level inputs are only compatible with power amplifiers having single ended outputs with black lead output labelled as ''COM'', ''GND'', or ''Ground''. Wyre4sound power amplifiers and others with differential outputs are not compatible. These amps need an XLR type 3-wire (one positive, one negative, and one ground) for safe speaker level input operation.

Using Y-splitter on input connection increases the subwoofer gain by 6db. High efficiency horn speakers (105db/Wm and above) may require custom modification for ''gain matching'' of the volume control knob (not to be mistaken as sub not keeping up with horn speakers) when this connection method is not option (e.g., single sub accepting both L and R inputs). To summarize, customers who need to consider higher gain are those with all these conditions: 1) has high efficiency horn speakers, 2) has no AVR or pre-processor, and 3) cannot use Y-splitter to connect to multiple inputs on a sub to increase gain by 6db.
